Abstract
El propósito de este estudio fue abordar la problemática en relación a la participación que
tienen las mujeres militares que forman parte activa del ejército de Honduras, por lo que el objetivo
planteado fue proponer la implementación de estrategias de recursos humanos con enfoque de
género, a través del diseño de técnicas de compensación justas orientadas al reconocimiento de las
competencias del personal, con el fin de garantizar que existan oportunidades de crecimiento
equitativas y así disminuir las brechas de desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres en la institución
militar, para lo cual se desarrolló una metodología de investigación mixta, aplicando encuestas a
las mujeres oficiales y suboficiales, y entrevistando a expertos nacionales e internacionales con el
propósito de conocer sobre sus experiencias, perspectivas e identificar que propuestas de mejoras
se podrían recomendar. Obteniendo como resultado que las mujeres consideran que tienen una
participación en los programas de formación, capacitación y que sienten que existe estabilidad
laboral, asimismo los salarios son equitativos y recibidos puntualmente, pero después de analizar
la normativa de fuerzas armadas se identificó que existen algunas particularidades que pueden
debilitar las acciones que se realizan para garantizar la equidad de género en la institución., por lo
que se consideró necesario presentar una propuesta de mejora conteniendo varios programas que
apoyarán la gestión que lleva a cabo el área de recursos humanos del ejército.
The purpose of this study was to address the problem in relation to the participation of military women who are an active part of the Honduran army, so the objective was to propose the implementation of human resources strategies with a gender focus, through of the design of fair compensation techniques aimed at recognizing the competencies of personnel, in order to guarantee that there are equitable growth opportunities and thus reduce inequality gaps between men and women in the military institution, for which a methodology was developed mixed research, applying surveys to female officers and non-commissioned officers, and interviewing national and international experts with the purpose of learning about their experiences, perspectives and identifying what proposals for improvements could be recommended. Obtaining as a result that women consider that they have a participation in the training programs and that they feel that there is job stability, also the salaries are equitable and received on time, but after analyzing the regulations of the armed forces it was identified that there are some particularities that can weaken the actions carried out to guarantee gender equality in the institution. Therefore, it was considered necessary to present an improvement proposal containing several programs that will support the management carried out by the army's human resources area.
