Abstract
El presente trabajo analiza la viabilidad de certificar a la Agencia Aduanera GANABE
como Operador Económico Autorizado (OEA) en Honduras. Se examinan de manera general los
beneficios logísticos y organizacionales que esta certificación puede generar, así como las ventajas
competitivas y comparativas frente a otras agencias del sector. También se consideran los
principales requisitos y desafíos que la empresa debe cumplir para alcanzar este objetivo. En
conjunto, el estudio resalta la importancia de la certificación OEA como una herramienta
estratégica para fortalecer procesos aduaneros, optimizar la logística y contribuir al crecimiento
empresarial en el comercio internacional. Asimismo, se empleó un enfoque mixto que integró
técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas, permitiendo analizar datos estadísticos y percepciones del
personal de GANABE, con el propósito de determinar de manera integral la factibilidad de la
certificación, los beneficios esperados y el impacto que esta podría generar en la competitividad
del sector aduanero hondureño.
This study analyzes the feasibility of certifying the Customs Agency GANABE as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) in Honduras. It generally examines the logistical and organizational benefits that this certification could generate, as well as the competitive and comparative advantages over other agencies in the sector. The main requirements and challenges that the company had to meet to achieve this objective are also considered. Overall, the study highlights the importance of AEO certification as a strategic tool to strengthen customs processes, optimize logistics, and contribute to business growth in international trade. Likewise, a mixed approach was employed, integrating quantitative and qualitative techniques that allowed for the analysis of statistical data and staff perceptions at GANABE, with the purpose of comprehensively determining the feasibility of certification, the expected benefits, and the potential impact on the competitiveness of the Honduran customs sector.
