Abstract
observaciones directas a estudiantes, docentes y personal administrativo.
This research analyzes the current state of technological infrastructure at Manuel Bonilla public school in La Paz, Honduras, and proposes an information technology (IT) implementation model to improve educational quality and reduce the digital divide. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through surveys, interviews, and direct observations involving students, teachers, and administrative staff. The findings reveal critical limitations in computer access, internet connectivity, and teacher training, despite a general willingness to integrate technology into education. In response, the study proposes a sustainable strategy that includes upgrading the computer lab, providing ongoing teacher training, and promoting the pedagogical use of ICT. The research provides a practical roadmap for the digital transformation of educational environments in low-resource rural and semi-urban areas.
