Abstract
The research evaluated the technical and financial pre-feasibility of incorporating a bakery and pastry business into Basílica Café, using a structured questionnaire and a Likert scale to collect data. The results indicate that diversifying services could generate significant economic benefits, supporting the implementation of the proposed operational model. 65% of respondents showed a positive attitude toward the new products, suggesting a favorable potential for the project. However, 32.5% expressed reservations, indicating the need to address potential acceptance barriers through marketing campaigns highlighting the products' features and benefits. The research also highlighted an increasing interest in healthy products, such as whole-grain breads and low-sugar pastries, offering a key opportunity to differentiate in the market. From a technical perspective, the location next to the Basílica Nuestra Señora de Suyapa is strategic, attracting tourists and worshippers, ensuring a constant flow of customers. The 10 infrastructure and specialized equipment, such as industrial ovens and dough mixers, are crucial for maintaining product quality. Financially, the project is feasible, with an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 62% and a positive Net Present Value (NPV). This demonstrates that the business has the potential to generate sustainable long-term profits. In conclusion, this study provides a solid foundation for strategic decision-making, ensuring the project's success through efficient planning and a focus on quality.
