Abstract
This project aims to improve the drinking water system in the community of Santa Rosita through a comprehensive redesign that ensures a sustainable supply for the population. The conveyance line, which has a diameter of 2 inches and a maximum elevation of 414.228 meters and a minimum of 221.870 meters, will facilitate the efficient transport of water by gravity, optimizing energy consumption. A physical assessment of the storage tank was conducted, revealing issues such as leaks and humidity that compromise both the water quality and the structural integrity of the tank; therefore, repair and maintenance interventions are planned. Additionally, the distribution network, which consists of 2 and 1-inch diameter pipes and has a maximum elevation of 233.459 meters and a minimum of 146.414 meters, will be improved to reduce losses and ensure that treated water effectively reaches all users. Together, these actions aim to address the current challenges of the drinking water system, contributing to the well-being of the Santa Rosita community.
