Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación se centra en la prefactibilidad del establecimiento de
una empresa que realice servicios de grooming en San Pedro Sula. El grooming es el cuidado
estético de las mascotas, en los últimos años este rubro ha experimentado un crecimiento
significativo, debido al aumento de la tenencia de mascotas en los hogares hondureños. La
investigación aborda aspectos claves como el análisis del mercado, técnico y financiero, así como
la identificación de oportunidades y desafíos en el ambiente empresarial local. Se emplearon
métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos para la recopilación de la información. Además, se realizaron
entrevistas con los posibles clientes y expertos en el cuidado de mascotas para obtener una mejor
comprensión de las necesidades, tanto del cliente permanente como el potencial. La evaluación
financiera de este estudio indica que el mismo es factible, el estudio se realizó con una proyección
a cinco años en flujos anuales, el 70% de los fondos financiados por una entidad bancaria nacional
y un aporte de capital propio del 30%. El presupuesto de ejecución del proyecto será de L. 773,704
y los indicadores financieros sugieren un VAN positiva de L. 213,737 con una TIR 29.3% por lo
anterior se puede concluir que la viabilidad del proyecto es realizable.
This research work focuses on the pre-feasibility of establishing a grooming services company in San Pedro Sula. Grooming is the aesthetic care of pets. In recent years, this field has experienced significant growth due to the increase in pet ownership in Honduran households. The research addresses key aspects such as market, technical and financial analysis, as well as the identification of opportunities and challenges in the local business environment. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used to gather information. In addition, interviews were conducted with potential clients and pet care experts to gain a better understanding of the needs of both the permanent and potential client. The financial evaluation of this study indicates that it is feasible. The study was carried out with a five-year projection in annual flows, 70% of the funds financed by a national banking entity and a 30% equity contribution. The project execution budget will be L. 773,704 and the financial indicators suggest a positive NPV of L. 213,737 with an IRR of 29.3%, therefore it can be concluded that the project is feasible.
