Resumen
La investigación propone el diseño de un sistema de información de tipo ERP para la gestión integral del inventario ganadero y el control de costos operativos en la empresa Agroindustria Internacional (Interagro), dedicada a la producción de ganado de doble propósito en Honduras, con el fin de superar las limitaciones de registros manuales y sistemas fragmentados que afectan la trazabilidad, la eficiencia y la toma de decisiones gerenciales. A partir de un análisis del contexto global, regional y nacional de la transformación digital agroindustrial, se identifican brechas de gestión y conocimiento relacionadas con la baja adopción de tecnologías de información, la infraestructura tecnológica rural limitada y la resistencia cultural al cambio. El marco teórico articula la Teoría de Sistemas de Información, el Modelo de Aceptación Tecnológica (TAM) y el Modelo de Gestión del Cambio de Kotter, trazabilidad ganadera e indicadores de eficiencia productiva y económica, para sustentar el enfoque propuesto. Metodológicamente, se desarrolla un estudio con componentes exploratorio, descriptivo y propositivo, que emplea encuestas, entrevistas semiestructuradas y análisis documental para diagnosticar la situación actual de la gestión de inventarios, costos y requerimientos de información en Interagro. Con base en estos hallazgos, se diseña la propuesta de un ERP ganadero estructurado en módulos de inventario y trazabilidad, producción y sanidad, costos biológicos y operativos, e inteligencia gerencial y tableros de control, acompañado de un cronograma, presupuesto y plan de implementación alineados con el contexto rural y la normativa nacional de trazabilidad, orientado a mejorar la rentabilidad y la sostenibilidad del negocio.
This study proposes the design of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) information system to support the integrated management of livestock inventory and operating costs in Agroindustria Internacional (Interagro), a dual-purpose cattle company in Honduras, aiming to overcome the limitations of manual records and fragmented systems that hinder traceability, efficiency and managerial decision-making. Based on an analysis of the global, regional and national context of digital transformation in agribusiness, the research identifies management and knowledge gaps related to the low adoption of information technologies, rural infrastructure constraints and cultural resistance to change. The theoretical framework integrates Information Systems Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Kotter’s Change Management Model with key, livestock traceability and productive and economic performance indicators to support the proposed approach. Methodologically, the study follows an exploratory, descriptive and propositional design, using surveys, semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis to diagnose the current status of inventory management, cost control and information requirements in Interagro. Based on the empirical findings, the research presents the design of a livestock ERP solution structured into modules for inventory and traceability, production and animal health, biological and operating costs, and managerial intelligence and dashboards, together with an implementation schedule, budget and project charter tailored to the rural context and national traceability regulations, in order to enhance profitability and business sustainability.
