Abstract
This research aimed to diagnose the levels of work-related stress and the possible presence of burnout syndrome among employees of the Corporate Support Unit (UAC) at CADECA. A quantitative, descriptive methodology was used, applying the Work Stress Test and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to all UAC personnel in Tiloarque. Results showed that 28% of employees presented medium to high levels of stress, while only 1.9% exhibited symptoms consistent with burnout syndrome. Although burnout levels were low, the study identified signs of emotional exhaustion and vulnerability in certain areas. Based on these findings, a preventive intervention proposal was developed, focusing on the emotional well-being of employees. The program includes psychological care, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, the creation of spaces for disconnection, and an institutional recognition system. This proposal seeks not only to address existing cases but also to prevent the escalation of stress-related symptoms by promoting a culture of self-care and ongoing support within the organization.
