Abstract
The research aimed to design a prototype module for the management of reservations, registrations, and cancellations of reciprocal guarantees at BAC Honduras, in order to reduce errors, improve efficiency, and ensure process traceability. The identified problem was the reliance on manual workflows that generated duplicated information, delays, and lack of control. The study was guided by objectives focused on analyzing current errors, evaluating their impact, documenting the processes, and proposing a digital solution. The methodology was based on a mixed approach, applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to key users, and supported by theoretical frameworks such as the General Systems Theory, PMBOK®, and SCRUM under a hybrid approach. The results showed recurrent failures in manual processes and validated the need for an automated solution. In conclusion, it was recommended to implement the prototype as the first step toward an integral, scalable, and replicable platform within the national financial system.
