Abstract
La presente investigación se centra en analizar los factores que inciden en la toma de decisiones de los médicos hondureños al prescribir medicamentos antidiabéticos. El objetivo principal es conocer los factores que influyen en la decisión de los médicos generales, internistas y endocrinólogos en Honduras al momento de prescribir medicamentos antidiabéticos, así como comprender sus preferencias en cuanto a medicamentos antidiabéticos y su percepción sobre la innovación en este campo. El estudio se fundamenta en la necesidad de comprender las motivaciones y criterios que guían las decisiones de prescripción médica, con el fin de proporcionar a las casas farmacéuticas información clave para desarrollar estrategias de marketing más efectivas y personalizadas. El diseño de la investigación se basó en un enfoque no experimental transeccional descriptivo cuantitativo y se consideró una población finita de 172 médicos graduados y colegiados con especialidades, utilizando encuestas como instrumento de medición. Los resultados de esta investigación permitirán dirigir los esfuerzos promocionales hacia los médicos más receptivos, optimizando así la inversión y maximizando el impacto en la prescripción de medicamentos antidiabéticos en Honduras.
The present research focuses on analyzing the factors that influence the decision- making process of Honduran physicians when prescribing antidiabetic medications. The main objective is to understand the factors that influence the decision-making process of general practitioners, internists, and endocrinologists in Honduras when prescribing antidiabetic medications, as well as to comprehend their preferences regarding antidiabetic medications and their perception of innovation in this field. The study is based on the need to understand the motivations and criteria that guide medical prescription decisions, to provide pharmaceutical companies with key information to develop more effective and personalized marketing strategies. The research design was based on a quantitative descriptive transactional non-experimental approach and a finite population of 172 graduated and registered doctors with specialties was considered, using surveys as a measurement instrument. The results of this research will allow promotional efforts to be directed towards the most receptive doctors, thus optimizing investment, and maximizing the impact on the prescription of antidiabetic medications in Honduras
