Abstract
The present project aimed to determine the viability and feasibility of the tomography service at the “Laboratorio Clínico de Oriente.” The study analyzed the demand and potential supply of the service, the required resources, legal requirements, and risks associated with its implementation. To achieve this, a questionnaire was administered to 384 representative residents of Danlí, complemented by interviews with physicians and experts in radiology and biomedical sciences. A significant finding revealed that 93% of respondents indicated willingness to undergo tomography studies at the laboratory if needed. Market and technical analyses confirmed the viability of the proposed service. As part of the applicability proposal, a business plan was designed that included marketing, operational, legal, and financial aspects related to the establishment and operation of the service. The economic evaluation projected an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 33.71%, exceeding the Minimum Acceptable Rate of 14.63%, thereby demonstrating the project's profitability.
