Abstract
Se llevó a cabo una investigación orientada a diagnosticar las debilidades y oportunidades en los procesos de documentación técnica dentro del desarrollo de software. El objetivo principal fue analizar el estado actual de la documentación técnica, identificar los retos que enfrentan los equipos de desarrollo, y proponer lineamientos para una plataforma que centralice, estandarice y optimice dicha documentación. Como resultado del estudio, que incluyó un análisis teórico y la aplicación de encuestas a profesionales del sector, se identificaron múltiples problemáticas: documentación informal, fragmentada, limitada visibilidad de responsabilidades técnicas; y escasa integración entre la T documentación y los sistemas de seguimiento de proyectos. Los hallazgos sustentan la necesidad de adoptar buenas prácticas e integrarlas en soluciones tecnológicas que faciliten la gestión de conocimiento técnico. El informe concluyó que una adecuada documentación técnica no solo mejora la calidad del software, sino que también favorece la toma de decisiones, la transferencia de conocimiento y la continuidad operativa en los proyectos.
A research study was carried out aimed at diagnosing the weaknesses and opportunities in technical documentation processes within software development. The main objective wizto analyze the current state of technical documentation, identify the challenges faced by development teams, and propose guidelines for a platform that centralizes, standardizes, and optimizes such documentation. As a result of the study-which included a theoretical analysis and the use of surveys with industry professionals-multiple issues were identified: informal and fragmented documentation, limited visibility of technical responsibilities, and weak integration between documentation and project tracking systems. The findings support the need to adopt best practices and integrate them into technological solutions that facilitate the management of technical knowledge. The report concludes that proper technical documentation not only improves software quality, but also supports decision-making, knowledge transfer, and operational continuity in projects.
