The purpose of this research was to evaluate the construction of a shelter for migrants in an irregular situation and improve their temporary stay in the city of Danlí, El Paraíso. The objective of the research is to demonstrate that there is a direct relationship between the better temporary stay of migrants by building a shelter that covers the basic needs required by people in an irregular situation and the improvement of public space and security of the Danlidense population. The development of the research was conducted quantitatively by developing a survey, which was applied through the Google Forms tool. The research conducted is of a nonexperimental quantitative nature with a transversal approach, identifying through an instrument (survey), the indicators of the variables that help to show the relationship between them "Migrant, Irregular Situation and Stay" in order to validate the Hypotheses raised. Results that were found according to the questions presented in the survey bring us closer to a reality that is faced through this, allowing us to start for a solution to the current problem or need that the city faces. It concludes that there is a relationship between the level of acceptance of citizens' perception of the situation regarding migrants in an irregular situation who transit through the city and the improvement of their stay when a shelter or temporary home is built through modular architecture, streamlining its assembly and disassembly if it is no longer necessary or in case of displacement, for this 107 shipping containers were used; 76 of them being 10 ft containers, and 31 being 20 ft containers.
