Abstract
The present work consists of describing the scope of motivational methods at the level of pharmacies in Tegucigalpa, a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive mixed-type investigation was carried out, in it the perception of a population object of the investigation is collected, the information was compiled through a survey and interviews, aimed at managers, managers and experts in pharmacy chains and independent in Tegucigalpa. Motivation is an issue of great importance for organizations, if it is applied in a good way it can help workers have greater productivity, it is important for the work performance of individuals, and thus obtain greater and better results, it shouldn’t be forgotten that motivation is of great relevance if you want to have a good performance of collaborators, since it is the same that leads the individual to act in a certain way, in an organization, it is intended to achieve the established objectives and the fulfillment of the goals and thus will bring great benefits. The performance of collaborators is reflected in the activities they carry out in their work area, all this also depends on the way and how the collaborators of an organization are motivated. In addition, as Nuñez (1996) affirms, motivation is not a unitary process, but encompasses very diverse components that none of the theories developed so far has managed to integrate, hence one of the greatest challenges for researchers is to try to specify and clarify which elements or constructs are included within this broad and complex process that we label as motivation. However, despite the existing discrepancies, most specialists agree in defining motivation as a set of processes involved in the activation, direction and persistence of behavior (Beltrán, 1993a; Bueno, 1995; McClelland, 1989, etc.).
