| dc.description | In this research paper a model with annual panel data from Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras,and Nicaragua, for the period 1995-2007 is examined to assess the responses of unemployment to changes in a number of economic variables. The article concludes that there is evidence to argue that a tax reform that would generate sufficient resources to close the fiscal deficit and increasing public investment would result in strengthening national saving and private investment, thereby increasing the rate of economic growth. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este trabajo se estima un modelo con datos-panel anuales de México, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras y Nicaragua, del período1995-2007 para apreciar las respuestas de la tasa de desempleo a cambios en una serie de variables económicas. El artículo concluye que existen evidenciaspara argumentar que una reforma fiscal que genere suficientes recursos para cerrar el déficit fiscale incrementar la inversión pública, redundaría en fortalecer el ahorro nacional y la inversión privada, por lo tantoen aumentar latasa de crecimiento económico. | es-ES |
