dc.descriptionRevista Ariel was a means of diffusion published during the period of "The Cold War'', promulgating the ideas about the emancipation process of Latin America and social change, from a strong component of nationalism. It was a benchmark in the debate on anti-imperialist thought from which it worked on concepts such as: patriotism, independence, influence -domination and liberation- of foreign capital. Case presentation. The journal focused on the reminiscence of the thought of anti-imperialist intellectuals, who published their position against the lines of submission and economic dependence. This article is about writings published in Revista Ariel between 1964 and 1968, under its third stage and the direction of Medardo Mejía. Discussion. The essays were focused from the cultural, social, political, and economic fields. The idea of ​​liberation and true independence was widely questioned by the different writings presented in each edition. Conclusion. The ideas expressed by the authors in Revista Ariel during the period under study, were made from the anti-imperialist perspective, highlighting strong denunciations of the ruling elite during the period of military governments in Honduras from 1964-1968.en-US
dc.descriptionLa Revista Ariel fue un medio de difusión publicado durante el periodo de “La Guerra Fría'', que promulgó las ideas del proceso de emancipación de América Latina y cambio social, desde un fuerte componente de nacionalismo. Fue un referente del debate del pensamiento antiimperialista desde el cual trabajó conceptos como: patriotismo, independencia, influencia -dominación y liberación- del capital extranjero. Presentación del caso. La revista se centra en recordar la base del pensamiento de intelectuales antiimperialistas, cuyos escritos ponían de manifiesto su posicionamiento contra las líneas de sometimiento y dependencia económica. Este artículo infiere sobre algunos escritos entre 1964 y 1968 de la Revista Ariel, bajo la dirección de Medardo Mejía en la tercera etapa de la revista. Discusión. Los espacios ensayísticos se dieron en los campos culturales, sociales, políticos y económicos. La idea de la liberación y la verdadera independencia se cuestionaban ampliamente con los diferentes escritos que se presentaban en cada edición. Conclusión. Las ideas expresadas por los autores en la Revista Ariel durante la época bajo estudio fueron hechas desde la óptica antiimperialista, poniendo de manifiesto las fuertes denuncias a la élite que gobernaba durante el periodo de los gobiernos militares en Honduras de 1964-1968.es-ES
