Abstract
La presente investigación analiza la influencia de la educación superior en la mejora de la calidad de vida de los egresados universitarios en Tegucigalpa, considerando dimensiones como las competencias y habilidades técnicas y blandas, los programas de extensión universitaria y la educación dual. Implementando un enfoque mixto, descriptivo y correlacional a través de la aplicación de encuestas y entrevistas a actores claves. Los resultados demuestran que resulta una relación existente entre la educación superior y la calidad de vida vista a través de indicadores como ingreso, empleabilidad, el bienestar y la satisfacción personal. Tomando como teorías el Capital Humano y el Enfoque de Capacidades, se propone una estrategia que vincula la universidad con el sector productivo para fortalecer el desarrollo local.
The present research analyzes the influence of higher education in improving the quality of life of university graduates in Tegucigalpa, considering dimensions such as technical and soft skills, University extension program and dual education. Implementing a mixed approach and sequential design, through the application of surveys and interviews with key actors. The results show a positive relationship between higher education and quality of life, as reflected in indicators such as income, employability, well-being, and personal satisfaction. Based on theories such as human capital and the skills approach, a strategy is proposed that links the university with the productive sector to strengthen local development.
